BARBARA LYNN TRAMMELL BLACK, age 66 of Alvin, Texas passed away Thursday, February 8, 2019 at UTMB Hospital in Angleton, Texas. Barbara was born February 9, 1952 in Pasadena, Texas and was a longtime resident of Alvin. She attended South Park Baptist Church in Alvin, was an avid pool player, and was very proud to have worked as a correctional officer for many years. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Robert (Babe) Levi Trammell and mother, Johnnie Farrell Trammell.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Heather Sullins and husband Warren, Natalie Smith and husband Geoffrey; grandchildren, Amber Blankenship and husband Andrew, Whitney Sullins, Sarah Sullins, Savannah Sullins, Talon Smith, Wade Boothe, Taylor Porter and Kamryn Smith; great grandchildren, Grace, Leighton and Tinsley; sister, Cynthia Allen and husband Johnny; brother, Daryl Trammell; former husband, Steve Black, who continued to offer care and help along with invaluable friendship throughout her life; in addition to many other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center for the many years of care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at South Park Baptist Church in Alvin, Texas; visitation starts at 5:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Barbara's honor to the American Kidney Fund www.kidneyfund.org or to a charity of your choice.
