Lee Aring, age 78, of Sugar Ridge Road, Bowling Green, OH, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2002, at Community Nursing Home, Bowling Green, OH. He was born on January 12, 1924, in Bowling Green, OH to Edward and Mary (Brown) Aring. Lee married Ruth Bursiek on November 29, 1947, in Luckey, OH, and she survives.

He was a farmer and livestock producer and had also been a meat cutter for 40 years, 25 of which he owned and operated Aring Meat Processing. Lee was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Luckey, OH, and had served as president of the congregation, Church Council, Brotherhood, trustee, and was also a member of its dartball team. He was also a member of the Wood County Cattlemen's Association, Former board member of Luckey Farmers Inc. and was also a member of the Jolly Ridgers Farm Bureau Council.

Lee was a WWII Army veteran and was a 50 plus year member of Troy Webster American Legion Post #240 in Luckey, OH.
Lee is survived by his wife, Ruth of Bowling Green; son, Michael (Randi) Aring of Bowling Green; daughter, Mary (Mark) Nelson of Bowling Green; brothers, Paul Aring of Bowling Green, Edward Aring of Pemberville and Milton Aring of Bowling Green, and grandchildren, Mitchell Aring, Britni Aring and Zachary Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Donald Aring and Luther Aring.
