Ruth A. Aring, age 94, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community, Pemberville, OH.

She was born on March 6, 1922 in Bowling Green, OH to Frederick and Anna (Brueggemeier) Bursiek.

On November 29, 1947 she married Leland E. Aring in Luckey, OH, who preceded her in death on September 15, 2002.

In addition to being a dedicated farm wife to Lee and a mother of two, Ruth also worked with her husband for 25 years at their family owned meat processing business until their retirement in 1989.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Luckey where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church Women and The Hannah Circle. Ruth was a member of the Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary Unit #240, The Jolly Ridgers Farm Bureau Council and was a volunteer at the Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community.

Ruth is survived by her son: Mike (Randi) Aring of Bowling Green, OH, daughter: Mary Nelson of Bowling Green, OH, grandchildren: Britni Aring of Pemberville, OH, and Zac (Lisa) Nelson of West Chester, OH.

In addition to her husband Lee, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, grandson: Mitch Aring, son-in-law: Mark Nelson and sister: Marie Ames.
