OBITUARY Early on Monday morning March 20th Mrs. mart Willson passed away from unconsciousness into her last sleep. she was in her 87th year and had been in ill health for a considerable time :
DEATHS WILLSON.-On March 20, at her home. Penneshaw, K.I., Ada, only sister of M. Foster, 2 Meredyth avenue, Millswood Estate. News (Adelaide, SA : 1923 - 1954) Monday 20 March 1944 p 4 Family Notices

...time varied by periods to improvement. During that time and previously Mrs. Willson was happy and greatly blest in the unselfish devotion of her youngest daughter Mabel. Mrs. Willson was the second wife and widow of the late Martin Willson of Hog Bay River. Possessed of 'green fingers' her garden ar the old home was always beautiful especially with roses. She was a great Church worker and St Columba's possesses a memorial of her in two beautiful, crocheted cloths for alter and communion table. During the last war Mrs. Willson was president of the Cheer-up Society which was the principal medium for patriotic work. of recent years poor health has caused Mrs. Willson's retirement from active social work, but she has been one of the landmarks as it were of the town. For one whose life was so long and full there can be little real sorrow in her passing especially as there was at the last such weakness. The funeral was on Monday part of the service being held in the church. The Reverend T Percy Wood officiated. At the conclusion of the service, he spoke of the long life and good service of Mrs. Willson on of the pioneers. Four children survive Private Friend Willson, Mrs. PG Clark. Misses Rubelle and Mabel Willson and two stepchildren Mr. Ern Willson and Mrs. H Wright of Kingscote 24 March 1944 KI COURIER
