GLASCO -- The funeral for Chancellor Lee Archer, 84, Glasco, will be at 11 am Wednesday at the Glasco United Methodist Church, the Rev. Joseph Shillcutt officiating. Masonic graveside services will be at 3 pm at Sunset cemetery, Manhattan.
Mr. Archer died Saturday at Atlanta, Ga. He was returning to Glasco from Florida, where he was visiting a nephew. He collapsed at the Atlanta airport and died later of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Archer was born Aug. 3, 1888, at Scottsville, Kas., and was raised at Glasco. He lived many years at Chicago, Ill., where he was an engineer for a furniture manufacturer. He retired, and later returned to Glasco in 1965.
He was a member of the United Methodist church, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Isis Shrine and Order of the Eastern Star. He was the widower of Irene Archer.
Surviving are 3 sisters, Mrs. Elma Shelto, Dinuba, Calif., Mrs. Sylvia Nolin, Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Swann, Morro Bay, Calif.
