Marcella Mauk, 71, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest at her residence Saturday, Sep 29, 2018.

She was born Dec 23, 1946 in Elliott County, KY, a daughter of the late James Virgil and Eva Binion Barker Mauk. Marcella retired from General Telephone with 27 years of service. She volunteered at the Olive Hill Library and the Bethany House; and was a member of Three Pine Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by five brothers, Joyce Binion, Oscar Binion, Ted Barker, Terry Barker and Isaac Mauk; four sisters, Floella Mabry, Betty Leadingham, Judia Huntsman and Jeanette Dennis; three special aunts, Sarah Whitt, Mary Ada Whisman and Ethel Anderson; and both sets of grandparents, Frederick & Amanda Holbrook Mauk and Nelson & Frankie Holbrook Binion.

Marcella is survived by her caretakers; Carolyn Webb, Greta Cox, Ruby Boggs, and Vera Middleton; and two special friends, Carolyn Carroll & Christy Brown, that were ever so gracious to take her to many doctor appointments. She also leaves behind many cousins as well as many friends who were as close as family.

Michael Webb, Burris Leadingham, Rickie Leadingham, Daniel Holbrook, Tracy Petitt and Carlos Middleton will served as pallbearers. Funeral was conducted at 3:00pm on Monday, Oct 1, 2018 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Sparks and Bro. Burris Leadingham officiating. Burial followed at the Mauk Cemetery in Gimlet, KY.
