Barbara Hobeck, age 89, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Thursday, September 27, 2018.
Barbara was wonderful mother and grandmother. She was caring and loving. She loved her job as a nurse for Ottawa County Health Department and served there for over 30 years of her life. She enjoyed the outdoors, the water and traveling on their boat. She was an active volunteer with the Sportsman Club in Newaygo. She will be missed by her family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hobeck in 1991.
She is survived by her daughters, Luanne Ryan, Nancy & Randy Carlson; grandchildren, Samantha Carus, Cameron & Laura Polinskey, Stephanie Ryan, April & Daniel Smith, Chris Dekker; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland, MI 49423 officiated by Rev. Timothy Vreeman. A time of visitation with the family will precede the service at 11:00 am also at the Funeral Home.
Burial to take place in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
