Todd died September 21, 2018 of complications from diabetes. He was 60 years old.He was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix on September 9, 1958, to Logan and Barbara Van Sittert. He graduated from Central High School, class of 1977, where he lettered all four years in cross-country and track. Todd served with honor a four-year enlistment with the U.S. Air Force as a fire fighter. He was proud of his career as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, which he earned after a multi-year Apprentice Program. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers local 359 and maintained strong friendships with fellow Union members until his death. Todd was known as an expert and collector of records and memorabilia of Beatles Era Rock and Roll, and shared his knowledge with others nationwide. He liked to brew up fiery salsa, sometimes from peppers he grew. Todd was predeceased by several good friends and his beloved cat, Mr. Lucky. He is survived by his parents and Becky Brimhall, his caregiver and friend. Todd's service will be held Monday, October 1, at 1:30 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. Published in The Arizona Republic from Sept. 25 to Sept. 30, 2018
