Mrs. Obedience Goforth Barton was born Jan. 18, 1859, near Knoxville, Ill., and died July 1, 1950 at Pretty Prairie, Kansas. She was married to Enos O. Barton Feb. 8, 1878.
To This Union thirteen children were born, ten boys and three girls. They were: Joseph B. and David A., Pretty Prairie; Earl A., Garden City; Ellis F., Hutchinson: Mrs. Mae M. Smith, Kelso, Wash., and Mrs. Della Harrison, Hooker, Okla. Four sons and one daughter preceeded her in death. She also leaves to mourn her departure 36 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.
Burial was in the Lone Star Cemetery.
