Martha Hopkins Fultz Counts Miller, passed away Wednesday March 21, 2018 at her son’s home in Louisville, KY.
She was born February 18, 1930, the daughter of Richard Edwin Hopkins Sr., and Rachael Keller Hopkins. Both were educators in the Portsmouth school system for many years.
Martha graduated from Ohio University and attended Ohio State University. She taught in the Portsmouth City Schools, Northwest County Schools and retired with 28 years of service from New Boston Glenwood High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women’s Association, National Education Association, Ohio Education Association and Hill View Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard E. Hopkins Sr.; mother, Rachael Keller Hopkins; brother, Richard E. Hopkins Jr.; brother-in-law, Henry “Hank” O’Roark II, MD; sister, Rachel Hopkins O’Roark; nephew, Henry “Hank” O’Roark III.
She is survived by her husband Robert E. Miller; son, Rodney B. Fultz, DMD; daughter, Marla Ann Fultz Radke; grandchildren, April L. Fultz, Rachel Francis Sophia Fultz, David Radke and Nathan Radke; nephews, Doug O’Roark, Brad O’Roark, Rick Hoopkins III, Tom Hopkins , David Hopkins and their families.
Her burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Portsmouth, OH.
