Nancy Sigmon Walker, 43, died early today at her home at 176 Twenty-eighth St., SW, Hickory, following eight months of declining health.
A knitter at LarMil Hosiery, she was married to Grady E. Walker, who survives. She was born to Robert Carroll Sigmon and Mary Louise Arney Sigmon of Hickory on Oct. 14, 1936.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by four children, Mrs. Nanette Jones Hull, Mrs. Lisa Stilwell and Jimmy Johnson, all of Hickory and David Johnson of Newton; two stepsons, Grady Eugene Walker and Willie Dale Walker of Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Wade (Peggy) Hedrick of Hickory and Mrs. Jimmy (Faye) Travis of Fort Gordon, GA.; two brothers, Charles Ray Sigmon and Tony Randall Sigmon of Hickory; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Robert Sigmon.
The Rev. J.L. Peeler and the Rev. Hoyle Lee Whitesides will conduct the funeral at 3 p.m. Sunday in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Hickory Funeral Home from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
