We have traveled to many counties and taken photos of cemeteries and documented the information on FG. I try very hard not to duplicate and to get the information as accurate as I can but being human I do make mistakes. I am sorry for any incorrect information and duplicates just let me know in a NICE way and I will try to check it as soon as I can and make it right. I have my normal duties so it may take me a little time to get to it but I will correct it. I am willing to transfer any memorials that fall within the FG Guidelines and some that do not as long as they are not relatives of ours. As Vickie Oates stated " Family belongs with family, regardless of how they are related" and will be best taken care of by family. I am HONORED to care for these memorials family or not. It is my passion to go out and find missing graves and loved ones for my records and for others. My greatest honor is posting of my family and any and all fallen soldiers. Any one serving in our military deserves our appreciation and to be HONORED for our freedom. I started my family tree about 30 years ago. And as trees go the branches just keep on going. Then I started on my husbands side of the family. I have had so much joy in doing these trees and putting them together. Going to the cemeteries was just one more step in helping with both trees. But I really wanted to document some cemeteries when I found FG. FG has been the one thing I can do and still be here for my family whom I care for. My father was Carl Cooper, Jr. born in Lincoln County, NC.; my mother was Mary Sue Carswell Cooper-Gates born in Rutherford County, NC. I have not been active for several years due to the deaths of my husband in 2016 and my mother was killed by 2 girls texting in 2015. So I am sorry if I have missed any notices, edits etc. I have tried to take care of them. I hope I have not inconvenienced anyone for taking a break to grieve. I am trying to get started back. I need to be busy and this has been one of my passions. Sincerely Melba.
