Mrs. Shipes was born January 20, 1930 in Troy, NC and a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church in Level Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Richard (Jack) Shipes.
She is survived by her mother Ethel Lamonds of Troy; Three daughters: Marion Coward and husband Greg of Randleman;Joyce Cameron and husband, Pete of Archdale, Betsy Davis and husband Larry of Benton, AK. One son: Gary Brewer and wife Shelby of Randleman.
