Alberta (Owens) Newell, 91, of Jacksonville, Alabama, died on November 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey L. and Lora Owens; husband, Robert E. Newell; sister, Julia Newell; and brothers: Lloyd Owens, Harold Owens, and Jerry Owens. She worked in the sewing industry for many years. She was a longtime member of Westside Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, son and daughter-in-law, sister, two brothers, five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. November 12, 2017 at K.L. Brown Funeral Home.
