OBITUARY :
ALBERT GRANT HALTERMAN, JR. “BIG AL” was born on June 28, 1935 in Winchester, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alicia Halterman, and sister, Deloris Patterson.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Halterman; daughters, Janine Halterman-Scott (Kyle), and Candy Owens (Johnny); grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyle, and Peyton; brothers and sisters, Melvin Halterman, Junia Worthen, Nancy Paxton, and Percy Byers.

Al was retired from Yellow Freight Trucking Company, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Waltham, Massachusetts.

He was a veteran who served in the United States Navy.

Al was a die hard Red Sox fan. The only team he would like better would be the team his children or grandchildren would play for being the family man that he was.

He loved his country music, and went on tour with several country music artists.

A celebration of Al’s life will be at 12 noon on Thursday September 21, at Hendersonville Funeral Home with visitation Wednesday from 4-8 pm and Thursday from 11 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
