Bessie Wilson, 63, of 1913 Saline Ave., Eldorado, died 1:42 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at her residence.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery, Norris City. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at the funeral home.
She was born March 9, 1943, in Equality to George and Essie (Adams) Atkinson. On April 18, 1989, she married Willard Wilson, who survives in Eldorado.
She was self-employed as a caregiver.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four stepsons, David Wilson of McLeansboro, Richard Wilson of Atlanta, Ga., Stephen Wilson of Paris and Edward Wilson of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two daughters, Brenda Briddick of Eldorado and Sherry Honaker of Columbia, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Crowe of Rock Island and Amy York of Connersville, Ind.; a brother, James Atkinson of Orion, Mich.; a sister, Betty Abell of Ridgway; four grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer, Nathan and Dustin; seven stepgrandchildren, Nathan, Sam, Leslie, Nicholas, Alex, Heather and Joshua; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Bob; a daughter, Joyce Davis; a twin sister, Tessie Hoskins; and a grandson, Jonathan.
