Edward Gleeson of 37 Schuyler St, for many years an employee of the Boston & Maine Railroad until his retirement in 1928, died early today in St. Peters Hospital. Mr. Gleeson had been ill for some time and had gone to the hospital Aug 10 for an operation. His condition was complicated by a heart ailment.

A veteran of the Spanish-American War, Mr. Gleeson was born in VaIcour, N.Y., 60 years ago.

He was the husband of the late Anna Elkey Gleeson, father of Roy, Harold and Willard Gleeson and brother of Fred Gleeson.

Funeral services will take place Saturday at 3:30 p. m. from the Tebbutt Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. George A, Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicville.
