Marjorie (Margie) Fry Booth went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2017. Margie was 98 years old.

Margie was born in Wayne County on June 21, 1918, the daughter of the late R. Kim and Louary Fry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 61 years, Aubrey H. Booth, Sr.; siblings Eugene, Delphia, Laura Opal, Wallace, Vinnie, Eva, Albert, and Charles. She is also preceded in death by her Son-in-Law, Dennis Phillips, and niece Betty Caines

Margie is survived by three children, Patricia Phillips of Pinsonfork, KY, Kathie (William) Renn of Sarasota, Fl., and Aubrey H. Booth Jr., of Hardy, KY; former daughter-in-law A. Maschil Booth; grandchildren, Daphne Renn (Charles) Louis, Christie Renn (Shane) Lewis, Jennifer (Paul) Moore, Suzy Phillips, Rachel Booth and Kayleigh Booth; great grandchildren, Zachary Louis, Matthew Anderson, Shelby Anderson, Renn Aubree Lewis and Max Dennis Moore; nieces, Nancy Staten Davis and Diana Staten Maynard; nephews, Charles Lee Caines and John Henry Caines. Margie was lovingly cared for by Angie Thacker, Nancy Davis (niece), Sandra Ellis, Vivian (Bo) Maynard and Violet Trivette for the past two years.

Margie was a beloved long time resident of Williamson and was an active member of First Baptist Church since 1937. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a good and faithful servant throughout her life. Margie taught Sunday School for 70 years beginning with the 11-year-old girls through the Pioneer Class. She taught the COD class for over 40 years and always called the members "her girls". She served on the Christian Board of Education and was a past President of the Viola Randolph Missionary Society. Margie also taught in Vacation Bible School for 55 years and was active in the Church Circles. In 2004, her church honored her with a lifetime membership in the American Baptist West Virginia Historical Society. Margie and Aubrey served on the State Macedonian Ministry for six years. She also taught Bible lessons at Goodman Manor for several years.

Margie was also active in the community. She was longtime member of the Williamson Women's Club serving two terms as President. During her second term as President she and Jean Taylor started the Corn Bread and Bean Luncheon to provide a Scholarship to Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College each year. Margie was also active in the PTA for many years serving in many capacities including President, Vice President, and Treasurer.

Margie loved music and taught herself to play the guitar with the help of Nada Hatcher. Margie and Aubrey loved going to Florida for the winter for many years where she could enjoy the beach and spend time with her family.

Visitation is at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, KY, from 6 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, April 13, 2017. The funeral celebrating Margie’s life will be held Friday, April 14, 2017, at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Williamson, with Reverend Jarrod Belcher officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY. Pallbearers will be her beloved sons and grandsons, Aubrey H. Booth, JR., William Renn, Charles Louis, Shane Lewis, Paul Moore, and Max Moore. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Booth family.
