Thelma O. Johnson, 91, of Creston, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
She was born in West Virginia and moved to Litchfield Township in 1957. She lived there until moving to Creston in 1992. Mrs. Johnson worked at the Medina Laundry from 1958 to 1966. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Cora Brown of Tennessee, Elsie Badgett of New Philadelphia, Myers Johnson of Hondo, Texas, and Jene Johnson of Creston; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Johnson, in 1991; son, Earl Johnson; and daughters, Lois, Shirley and Elva Johnson.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. The Rev. David Shimp will officiate.
Burial: Litchfield Township Cemetery.
Visiting hours: One hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
