Marilyn R. Tribble, age 74, of LCO, died Monday, February 13, 2017 at her home.

Marilyn Ruth Tribble was born December 24, 1942 Hayward, WI, the daughter of Louis and Rita (Dennis) Corbine. She has had many jobs throughout her life including I.H.S. Director, AIM Activist, Tribal Rights Advocate, Founder of H.T.E., LCO College BOR, Health Board, LCO Housing Board, Elder Advisor at the LCO School, Foster Grandparent Program, LCO Ladies Auxiliary, Northern Lakes Co-op, St. Francis Choir and organizer of Church Talent Shows. Marilyn has lived in numerous locations including Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York and St. Louis, but Lac Courte Oreilles is her home that she fought and stood up for.

She is survived by her sons Terry (Rachel) Tribble, Michael (Laura) Tribble, Jeffrey Tribble, Adolph “Duffy” LaRonge IV; daughters Phyllis (Scott) Kirchner, Lynette (Paul) Tribble; 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters Margaret Diamond, Doris (Bob) Corbine, Brenda Fairbanks, Julie (Jesse) Martinson; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Marilyn was preceded by her parents Louis & Rita; son Louie; brothers Peter & Wayne; sister Lorraine Corbine & Lucille (John) Carley; brother-in-law Roger Diamond.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2016 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve with Father Gregory Hopefl officiating. Music will be provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16th at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Jon Kirchner, Adolph “Duffy” LaRonge, Adolph LaRonge Jr., Kane LaRonge, James Louis Jr., Jeff Tribble, Jeffery Tribble Jr., Lucas Tribble, Michael Tribble III, Mike Tribble Jr., Ogema Tribble, Sammy Tribble, Tee Tribble and Terry Tribble.

Casket bearers will be Roger C. Diamond Jr., Donald K. Fairbanks Jr., Adam J. Martin, Patrick M. Martinson, Steven W. Martinson and Jason D. Pettibone.
