Gordon was born in 1931 in Ellsworth, MI and shared many colorful memories of childhood times at his Grandparents' farm. He spent much of his 13th year at Mary Free Bed, battling polio, but was able to return to an active life, bowling, playing softball, and golfing. He married his high school sweetheart, "Junebug," and together they raised five children. He was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers and shared that passion with many family members. Gordon loved cookouts with friends and family, cottage vacations in Bellaire, MI, golf weekends Up North, and tossing the Frisbee to his beloved beagle, Cubby.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 17, 11:30 AM at Raybrook Manor Chapel, 2121 Raybrook St. SE, with Rev. George Aupperlee officiating, and a light lunch reception to follow in the Friendship Room at Raybrook. The family will also greet friends prior to the service at Raybrook Chapel from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. His family would like to thank the staff at Raybrook for their kindness and loving care. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Holland Home Resident Assistance Fund.
