Elizabeth immigrated to the United States from Prussia with her husband, 21 year old step-son Johann Wallerich Jr, four sons (Matthais, Michael, Nicholas, and John Peter) and two daughters (Mary Wallerich Siebe and Elizabeth Wallerich Trierweiler). The family traveled together on the ship Malabar from Le Harve, France to New York, arrival date July 28,1853. They settled in Clear Creek, Keokuk County, Iowa.

Aside from the children who emigrated to the US with the family Johann and Elizabeth also had four other children, Nicholas, b. 1835, Kind, b. 1835, d. 1835, Johann Peter, b. 1845, and Angela b. June 30, 1850, d. April 19, 1851.
