Dominic Chiera died at his residence, 207 23rd St., following a short illness. He had lived in Watervliet for more than 30 years and was formerly employed at the old Troy Malleable Iron Co. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Survivors include his widow, the former Louise Ciuci; four sons, Frank and Joe Chiera of Watervliet, Salvatore Chiera of Troy and Anthony Chiera of Albany; 17 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
