Mrs. Edna Mae Rose, age 99 of Elkton, passed away 2:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes. Services for Mrs. Rose will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Laster officiating. Burial will follow in the Tabernacle Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Latham Funeral Home until time for the funeral.
Mrs. Rose was born February 20, 1917 in Christian Co., KY the daughter of the late Erbin and Gertrude Dossett White. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ethard Calvin Rose in 1983.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Norris) Slaughter of Clifty and her brother, Delmar White of Ohio; her three grandchildren, Jeff (Pam) Slaughter, Carol (Wade) Chester and Kim (Eric) Harper and her seven great grandchildren, Danielle (Taylor) Hennerfeind, Jessica (Justin) Davis, Taylor Gilliland, Caleb Slaughter, Hunter Harper, Collin Harper and Madison Gilliland.
The family asks that donations be given to the New Cedar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Lucille Bryant, 142 Crawford Road Sharon Grove, KY 42280.
