NICHOLS - Myrtice Knight Fowler, 85, beloved wife of James R. Fowler, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born in Mayo, Florida, the daughter of the late James Riley and Ruth Esther Hathcock Knight. Mrs. Fowler enjoyed flowers and working in her yard, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased in addition to her parents, by two brothers, Curtis Knight and James Henry Knight, two half-brothers and a half-sister.
Surviving Mrs. Fowler is her husband of sixty-one years, James R. Fowler, Sr.; three sons, Lester M. Knight of Columbus, Georgia, James H. Fowler (Sandra) of Nichols, and Glenn Fowler (Cindy) of Homosassa, Florida; a daughter, Patricia J. Miller (Ernest) of Lake View; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29th at Devotion Gardens in Mullins with the Reverend Glenn Brown officiating.
