Gearldene was born June 6, 1943 in White County, Tennessee, to the late
Luther Exum Sr. and Ova Lennie Dobbs Exum.
She was a former hair dresser. She also went to nursing school where she went on to be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)). Gearldene loved to volunteer in her community so she could help others.
She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband William Gordon Blaylock; her sister Jean Phillips; brothers Jim Exum, Oakley Exum and Royce Exum.
Her Survivors include her daughter
Angela Kay Blaylock Parrish of Manchester, Tennessee;
Brother - Luther Ray Exum Jr. and wife Sherrie of White County, Tennessee; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be conducted on Monday, October 3, 2016 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Old Zion Cemetery.
