Mrs. C. Erickson, Succumbs at 82
Mrs. C.E. Erickson, 869 S. Prairie avenue, died early yesterday at her home at the age of 82. Cause of death was a heart condition. She had been in failing health the past two years. She suffered a heart attack two weeks ago and had been bedfast since that time.
Mrs. Erickson was born Nov. 23, 1875, of parents Olas and Johanna Johnson in Stratford, Ia. She married Charles E. Erickson Sept 5, 1893. They farmed at Stratford until moving to Martin County in 1918. They retired to Fairmont in 1943. Mr. Erickson died March 17, 1944.
She is survived by eight children, two sons, and six daughters. The sons are George and Sherman, Fairmont. The daughters are Mrs. Reinhard Gratz, Fairmont; Mrs. Dick Prull, Ceylon; Mrs. A.N. Hultman, Des Moines, Ia; Mrs. Carl Sansen, Colorado Springs, Colo; Mrs. Orlo Hursh, Forest Lake, Mn. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Olson funeral chapel in Fairmont, the Rev. R. W. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery. Friends may call from today until time of service.
