Major League Baseball Player. For six seasons (1975 to 1980), he played at the outfielder and third baseman positions with the California Angels, Cleveland Indians and San Diego Padres. Born Lonnie Paul Dade, he attended Nathan Hale High School in Washington, prior to being selected by the Angels during the 1st round of the 1970 Amateur Draft. He made his Major League debut with California as a late season call up on September 12, 1975 and played in 11 games that year. After he was signed by Cleveland as a free agent, he saw his playing time increase and in 1977, he earned the starting right field spot. That same season (1977), he produced a career-high 134 hits, with a stellar .291 batting average. He split time between Cleveland and San Diego during the 1979 season and yielded a career-high 25 stolen bases. After his Major League career, he extended his playing career in Japan.
