Gladys Gass Tallent died Friday, 19 August 2016 at the Mayfair Village Retirement Home in Columbus, Ohio. A native and lifelong resident of east Tennessee, Gladys served forty years as Assistant Postmaster at Oliver Springs, Tennessee. She was an active member of the Oliver Springs United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She moved to Columbus in 2011. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Tallent, five sisters, and a brother. She was survived by three stepdaughters, a sister-in-law, and a niece. [Edited from an unsourced obituary.]
