Herbert William Brackett, 45, of Wilmington, died this morning in the Melrose hospital in West Brattleboro of heart and kidney trouble. He had been in ill health two years and been in the hospital several weeks. Mr. Brackett was born in Guilford June 17, 1871, a son of George F. and Martha B. (Robinson) Brackett. He had made his home in Wilmington and never married. He leaves on brother, Alonzo J. Brackett of Frost street. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at 35 Frost street, Rev. Delmar E. Trout, pastor of the Universalist church, officiating. Members of Wantastiquet Lodge, I.O.O.F, of which he was a member, will be bearers. The body will be placed in the tomb in Prospect Hill cemetery for burial later in Guilford.
