Metter- Mrs. Kathleen Pierson Meszaros, 43, died on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Candler Hospital. Kathleen was born in Illinois and she graduated in 1981 from Bishop McNamara High School. She graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University where she received her Bachelor's and Master of Science Degree in Education. She was formerly employed as an Elementary Education School Teacher at Sand Hill Elementary in Effingham County and was currently a beloved teacher at Metter Elementary School. She enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, snorkeling and singing in the choir at BloomingdaleAllinace Church where she was a member. She was preceded in death by a sister, Deanna Pansa; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Salkeld and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pansa Kathleen was an organ donor. Survivors include her husband, Cary Meszaros; children, Blake, Schuyler and Cheyenne Pierson; step-children, Robert and Katie Meszaros; parents, Joyce Johnson and Wendell "Breeze" Pansa; step-parents, Floyd and Irene Reynolds; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Nancy Pansa; sister and brother -in-law, Sue and Dave Uhnavy; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and the Meszaros extended family. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Funeral: 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Bloomingdale Alliance Church. Kathleen will lie in state from 10-11 a.m., at the Church.
