Georgia was born March 21, 1940 and lived her life in Surprise Valley. She graduated from the Cedarville elementary school in 1953 and was a senior in the Surprise Valley high school.
Georgia was a talented girl and gave many enjoyable moments to many people with her accordion playing.
Loved by old and young alike for her polite and charming personality, Georgia was unusually active in school affairs. She was one of the cheer leaders in 1955 and was chosen queen of the basketball tournament held here in 1956. In her freshman year in the school the FHA was reorganized under Mrs. Dortha Brough and she was president of the organization.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Laxague; three brothers, William and Ronald of Cedarville and Buddy Laxague of Sacramento and their families; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Arreche, grandfather, Joe Martin, and grandfather, C. H. Davis.
It is the request of the family that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the cancer fund. Rosary will be said tonight at 8 and funeral services will be conducted tomorrow (Friday) morning at 10 from the local Catholic church...

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT CATHOLIC CHURCH FOR GEORGIA LAXAGUE
Funeral services for Georgia Laxague, who passed away last Tuesday at the local hospital were held Friday morning from the Catholic church in Cedarville with Father Michael Prouix of Alturas officiating. Pallbearers were classmates Jim Fee, Jim Wilson, Chuck Vermillion, Russ Peterson, Raymond Page and Bob Heard.
