Harriet Theresa (Koch) Carell, 90, of Acton passed away peacefully at her home on May 7, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Edwin Carell, to whom she was married for 64 years. Born in Moriah, New York, she was the daughter of Frances and Sigmund Koch. Harriet was a graduate of Snyder High School in Jersey City, NJ, and Monmouth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Monmouth, NJ. She worked for over 30 years as a psychiatric nurse at Emerson Hospital in Concord, and upon retirement continued to work with the Acton Nursing Service. Harriet loved flea markets, making preserves, spending time with her family, and was a great fan of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, whom she referred to as her "boyfriend".

She is survived by her sister Frances Vasquez, her brother Edward Koch, four sons; Gregory (Meg), Timothy, Michael, and Steven (Nancy), and six grandchildren; Jennifer, Samantha, Kathryn, Rebekah, Annie, and John.

Visiting hours are Saturday, May 14th from
4-7pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton Ma. 01720. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Acton on June 18th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Acton Nursing Service.
