Sources: The Grapeland Messenger 07/11/1940 & TX DC.There is some discrepancies. The paper called him Esseck and DC Essie. Paper said buried at New Salem. DC said Henry Family Cem. Grapeland. He was a teacher and married. DC gave parents as Mose & Ann (Owens) Henry.
