On July 21, 1893, FRANCIS, aged three years, beloved son of Thomas and Annie Eagan and the grandson of Francis and Sarah Dailey.
Such a little break in the sod,
So tiny to be a grave;
How can we render so soon to God
This beautiful gift He gave.
Must we put you away, our darling,
Our tender bud unbloomed;
To put you in that cold, damp grave,
With your blossoms all unshown.
O God, How our hearts are aching
For the voice we cannot hear,
Or the clinging arms around our neck
Or the little steps draw near.
His funeral will take place from his late residence, No.1142 Hanover Street on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend.
