Elsie was born to Frederick William Beyer and Adeline Beyer, Aug. 9, 1935, in Hanna, Alberta, Canada. She was raised in Headquarters and graduated from Pierce High School.
She married Frank Bower on March 28, 1954, and the couple had just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
Elsie was a member of the First Protestant Church in Pierce, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars ladies auxiliary. She was a homemaker who loved flowers, gardening, making quilts, crocheting, reading her Bible and other church-related activities.
