Margurette Moose Quinn, 92, of Norwood, NC, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Her funeral service will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 23, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Hochmuth officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 till 8 at Stanly Funeral Home. The burial will take place on Tuesday following the service in Norview Gardens in Norwood.
Born March 26, 1923 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Virgie Mae Shimpock Moose and Richard Lee Moose. After graduating high school, Margurette received an Associate’s Degree in accounting and worked as a Ledger Clerk managed accounts for Barkley America. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Norwood.
Mrs. Quinn was married to the late Stacy Lee Quinn. She is survived by one daughter, Katrina Quinn Myers of Norwood, two grandchildren, Richie Myers of Norwood and Danny Myers (Jennifer) of Albemarle. Other survivors include six great-grandchildren, Cody, Nathaniel, Jackson, Nyoka, and Winter Myers, and Joshua Seawell. In addition to her husband, Margurette was preceded in death by one grandson, Josh Myers.
