Jo Ann Perry Melton, 73, passed away Thursday at Liberty Commons Center. She was born July 10, 1939 in Alamance County to the late Alton Manson Perry, Sr. and the late Alma Allen Perry.

Jo Ann was a faithful servant of God, who spent her life serving others on mission trips and volunteering with Meals on Wheels. She was a member of City Lake Baptist Church and attended Faith Worship and Healing Center.

Survivors include her daughter Cindy Williams and her husband Edward of McLeansville, granddaughters, Whitney Williams and Hayley Williams. Sisters, Ella Shumate, Mary Staunton, Frances Harmon and her husband Claude all of Burlington, a brother A.M. Perry, Jr. and his wife Dianne of Burlington, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
