Mrs. Hattie Jewett Hocking, wife of S. T. Hocking, died Tuesday night in the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. A. Helsey, Stop 22, Nine Mile Road. Besides her husband and daughter, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Enid Lenz; one stepson, Clarence Hocking; a grandson, Private Julian C. Lenz, AUS, and two brothers, J. E. Smith, of East Chicago, Ind., and H. J. Smith, of Kansas City, Kans. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Billups’ Funeral Home with interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
