Ted was employed by Pepsi Company for 32 years prior to his retirement and moving to El Dorado Springs. He enjoyed spending time at his lakefront home on Morrison Lake in Coldwater, fishing, boating and watching lightning storms play over the surface of the lake. Ted also enjoyed golfing and was a member of Gene Pray Memorial Golf Course and marked every tree he could find with his golf balls.

Ted was actively involved in assisting young boys learn the skills needed for manhood by assisting in the Coldwater Boy Scout Troop 460. Amongst other interest Ted was active in the collection of Tiger memorabilia.

Ted worked for the local True Value Hardware store where he imparted his building wisdom to all who asked, followed by a position at Allison's Gas Station, where he worked until he passed.
