Hyde appeared on various popular television shows such as "Dr Kildare", "That Girl", "The Beverly Hillbillies", and "Star Trek" (where he played Lt. Kevin Riley). While continuing to act until being diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010, he also worked in the educational field as an university professor.
