Born with phocomelia, which may have been a genetic condition. The affliction left him with no ams, only hands, like a seal's flippers. Sealo loved to perorm. Onstage he would demonstrate his abilities with his armless hands, often involved shaving. Sealo appeared with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & bailey, Clyde Beatty, Cole Bros., Coney Island Dreamland, and Hubert's Museum in New York. Sealo retired in 1976 and lived in Gibsonton. He died there in 1980 at the age of seventy-seven
