[Note: I have researched this family extensively, the Marean family going back to Massachusetts to the mid 1600, and no information has ever been developed that indicates that Joseph Marean and Joanna Bundy were from Connecticut. Joanna Bundy was reportedly born in Connecticut but no evidence has been found to date proving that fact that I am aware of. This newspaper obituary is the first solid lead as to where she was born. The 1850 and 1855 census data places her born in Broome, NY. Joseph Marean, the father of Vincent Marean, moved to the Maine, Broome, NY with his father Thomas Marean from Berkshire County in Western Massachusetts. Thomas Marean was a Revolutionary War Soldier and his son Joseph was a veteran of the War of 1812. Death records for Vincent Marean indicate he was buried in the the Allentown Cemetery, but no headstone has ever been found. It is assumed his wife Urana Barnhardt is buried with him in the Allentown Cemetery. All of Vincent's children are buried in the Allentown Cemetery.
