Bernhard Schneider born February 15,1843 in Lueneburg,died July 17,1907 in Cedarburg. Schneider began his training in Munich, then went on to the Duesseldorf Academy,where he was a pupil of Aschenbach from 1866 to 1868. In 1878 he went to Dresden and eventually settled at Blasewitz.He lived in Milwaukee 1885 to ca 1898, then removed to Cedarburg. Schneider was an artist of the panorama company of Wehner, Heine and Lohr,in Milwaukee, which from 1885-88 produced two units of BATTLE OF ATLANTA, two units of BATTLE OF MISSIONARY RIDGE & LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, and three units of JERUSALEM ON THE DAY OF THE CRUCIFIXION.
