From 7 August 1991 Sun Journal obituary. WEST PARIS - Frank A. Bragg, 99, died Monday at Ledgeview Nursing Home, where he had resided for the past five years. He was born Jan. 27, 1892 at North Auburn, the son of Ernest L. and Annie Jane West Bragg. He attended North Auburn schools and was a self-employed lumberman and farmer all his life. He served 17 years as a selectman in Hartford, where he lived for 82 years after moving from North Auburn. Mr. Bragg also served on the the Farmers Home Administration Committee and belonged to the Canton Farm Bureau. Mr. Bragg was Hartford's oldest resident for many years. He was a 50-year member of Mountain Grange of North Buckfield and was a member of Hartford Community Church. Mr. Bragg was married to Helen Kenne, who died in 1976. Survivors include two sons, Walter Bragg of West Paris and Clifford Bragg, Sr. of Hartford; four daughters, Vivian Hall of South Paris, Marguerite Pulkkinen and Beulah Brown, both of Hartford, and Iva Gates of Temple; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
