She was a native and life-long resident of Haywood County, and was the daughter of the late Horace Lloyd and Cora Ellen Hoglen Teague. She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Teague and one brother, Neal Teague.
She is survived by her husband, Melburn L. Miller, and had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 9, 2006. She is also survived by four daughters, Linda Greene and husband, James, of Lake Junaluska; Anne Strickland and husband, Gary, of Leicester, NC; Nancy Rathbone and husband, Mitchell, of the Bethel Community; and Melba Powell and husband, Jeff, of Candler; and one son, Phil Miller, of the home. Six grandchildren: Ashley Greene, Steve Strickland and wife, Stephanie, Pat Scarborough and husband, Mike, Tyler Rathbone, Allison Hicks and husband, Tyler, and Andrea Powell; and two great grandchildren, Adam Scarborough and Scarlett Strickland.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church with Reverend James Huey, Reverend Wayne J. Willett, and Reverend Jarvis Teague officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
