Mr. Boyle was born in Gaffney, Aug. 3, 1937, a son of Gladys Searey Wylie and Eugene Wylie of Union and the late Ted Boyle. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former member of the S.C. National Guard, Union Unit. Mr. Boyle was retired from Timken Company.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Donna Ray of Union; two sons, Ronnie Boyle and wife Nancy of Aiken and Stanley Boyle and wife Debbie of Union; a sister, Linda Blanton and husband Arnold of Gaffney; a special friend, Hazel Swanson of Union; and two grandchildren, Amanda Boyle and Ronald Boyle. Mr. Boyle was predeceased by a son, Brad Boyle.,
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Guy Langston, the Rev. Warren Jones and the Rev. Clarence Crocker. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Sammy Wilson, Jimmy Vinson, Ricky Wilson, Todd Mitchell, Mark Mitchell and Robbie Smith.
The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday to await the h our of service.
The family is at the home, 142 Mitchell Road, Union.
