Mrs. Watson was born May 5, 1971, in Davidson County, to Larry Allen Rummage and Shirley Simmons Rummage. She was a graduate of Central Davidson High School, Davidson County Community College, and earned her Master's Degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she graduated Suma Cume Laude. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was a career and development consultant for Davidson Works.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Clifton Watson of the home; daughter, Laurin Beck; stepdaughter, Alyssa Watson; her parents of Lexington; sister, Rhonda Rummage Duncan of Lexington; father and mother-in-law, James Terry Watson and Ann Reynolds Watson of Rockingham; brother-in-law, James Terry Watson Jr.; Andre Morin whom she loved like a brother; her friend as close as a sister could be, Alesia Roberson; nephew that she loved very much, Korbyn Duncan; and several uncles, aunts and many cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1791, Lexington, NC 27293; Carolina Cancer Services of Davidson County, 25 W. 6th Avenue, Lexington, NC 27292; or a children's fund of the donor's choice.
