Nona Runnion Clodfelter, 95, of Ridgecrest Dr. NE, Lenoir, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at Lenoir Healthcare. She was born Nov. 15, 1909, in Mars Hill, N.C., to the late Charles H. Runnion and Julia Carter Runnion. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight K. Clodfelter one brother John H. Runnion and one sister, Rose Runnion Broyhill. Mrs. Clodfelter was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lenoir, United Methodist Women's Club, Wesley-Friendship Sunday School Class, an active member of Bellsouth Pioneers and a long-time employee of Bellsouth Telephone Co. Survivors include two sisters, Ennis Runnion Briggs of Mars Hill, N.C., and Nila Runnion Taylor of Lenoir, N.C. five nieces and nephews, 11 great-nieces and nephews, 12 great-great-nieces and nephews, three great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Pendry's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Fowler and the Rev. Marietta Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at Pendry's, one hour prior to the service.
