Samuel Chambers, 77, of 848 W. Elm died at 12:10 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient three days. He was a retired employe of Cord Rubber Co.
Born Jan. 22, 1888, in West Jefferson, he had lived in Lima 55 years.
Surviving are his wife, Elenora; two sons, Herbert E. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Harold R. of 308 E. O'Connor; a daughter, Mrs. Isabel Atkins of 848 W. Elm; a half-sister, Mrs. Anna Smith of Columbus; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home. Rev. Willard Thomas will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
